Supporting Your Child’s Growth All Summer Long

As the school year winds down and summer approaches, it’s the perfect time to start thinking about how to keep your child progressing, engaged, and supported during the break.

At New Horizon Therapy, we understand that the transition out of the school routine can bring both excitement and challenges—for kids and parents alike! That’s why we’re here to provide consistent, personalized care all summer long. Whether your child receives speech or occupational therapy (or both!), summer sessions are a great way to reinforce skills, prevent regression, and have fun while learning.

🌞 What to Expect This Summer:

  • Flexible scheduling to work around vacations and camps

  • Summer-themed activities to keep therapy fun and fresh

  • Continued one-on-one support tailored to your child’s goals

If your child is entering a new grade in the fall, summer therapy can also help build confidence and prepare them for the next big step. We’re happy to collaborate with teachers and IEP teams to make sure your child’s plan stays on track.

📚✨ What is an IEP? ✨📚

An Individualized Education Program (IEP) is a customized learning plan designed to support students with special needs—helping them thrive in the classroom and beyond. 💪

At New Horizon Therapy, we partner with families and schools to ensure each child’s unique strengths and challenges are understood, respected, and supported. 💛

Whether your child needs speech therapy, occupational therapy, or both, our team can help: ✔️ Interpret IEP goals
✔️ Advocate during meetings
✔️ Provide therapy aligned with school plans
✔️ Communicate with teachers to support success

✨ Every child deserves a learning path that fits them. If you have questions about your child’s IEP or think they may benefit from an evaluation, we’re here to guide you.

Alternative Augmented Communication (AAC) Devices
Does your child have, recently received, or wanting to learn more about augmented alternative communication (AAC) devices? New Horizon is hosting a free monthly community group to help families navigate the use of AAC devices and learn how an AAC device can connect you with your child. If you’d like to be part of your group, call or email Savannah!

Let’s make this summer a season of growth, play, and confidence-building!
